Wish i were here

‘Wish I were here’ is an exhibition of holiday recollections and photos submitted by the general public.
Due to the advent of digital photography the art of storing hundreds of holiday snaps in paper envelopes and then stuffing them in a drawer is lost. But also what is lost is the time honoured tradition of flicking through the pile of snaps and enjoying the random collection of images as they take you on a sporadic time travel through your past.
Invariably the images that highlight the best stories are Holiday snaps, a glorious moment, where for one week all is well in the world, or not, if you choose to camp in height of the rainy season, ie British summer time.
I want people to tell their story by picking their own favourate holiday snap from their childhood and writing a short recollection of the holiday or picture, be it Good, Bad, happy or sad. Just as long as it means something to them and they don’t mind sharing it with the rest of us..
So please send me your Nostalgic holiday snaps of the great british holiday, along with 75 words and be part of this lovely project at my gallery ‘a Month of Sundays’
The exhibition runs from 2nd July till 30th July.
