I was in Cornwall all last week, which has to be a Mecca for artists as the light down there is fantastic and there are probably more galleries in St Ives than there is in the whole of Yorkshire. If you visit St Ives make sure you go to the Tate and also pop into Barbara Hepworth’s garden, I’d like to say that I got my pens out and did a little drawing but I was on strict orders to take a break, so I duly obliged and enjoyed the local ales and pasties instead.

Though now I’m home it’s great to be back at my painting table and on with my new exhibition, Great Moments in Music, I’m really enjoying writing a regular blog about the show because I’ve never analysed my thought process or documented an exhibitions progress, so it will be interesting to see the end result.
