A quick trip to the coast

Me and the good lady McKee went to Sunny Cleethorpes yesterday to get some sticks of rock and other seaside items in readiness for the galleries launch of the ‘Wish I were here’ exhibition. We had sit down fish and chips, the high light being the wonderfully grumpy waitress who made it seem like she was feeding the 5000, when there was just us two in the whole restaurant, I was in tears of laughter. We then spent a happy afternoon looking in all the gift shops for seaside ‘tat’. I nearly bought a mug with the picture of this years winner of X FACTOR on it and a Daniel O’Donnell plate but Mrs McKee wisely persuaded me not to bother and told me to put them down.
