A Day in the Life

When I first opened my gallery 14 months ago one artist at the top of my list to exhibit was Jonathan Wilkinson. His work appealed to me instantly, which is not surprising as he uses black lines and flat colour and also has a good eye for an Icon. but what is fantastic to see is his development from that style to incorporate subtle colours and lighting to create mood and atmosphere. You don’t see any people in his work but you do know they live in the buildings he recreates and you can only image what lives they live.

His work is lovingly and painstakingly hand painted and are true works of beauty and I for one, can’t wait to see them on the wall.

A Day in the Life by Jonathan Wilkinson opens at a Month of Sundays on Sharrow Vale Road, Sheffield this Saturday 3rd September and runs till October 1st.
